As is a large portion of the web right now, Sendoid is temporarily down while we wait for the amazon web services servers to come back up.

We’re really excited about all the great press for our official launch of Sendoid today and promise that we’re responding to your emails, blog comments, and tweets as fast as we can!

The vast majority of feedback we’ve received has been overwhelmingly positive and it’s amazing to hear about all the cool ways people are putting Sendoid to use.  I should also point out that we’re  working hard to address some open issues that have been reported in certain network environments.  Ubiquity is a paramount concern for us and we are constantly working to make sure our service is available everywhere and under all conditions.  If you’ve received any connectivity issues, please let us know at feedback@sendoid.com.  We promise to get back to you ASAP.

You might have noticed that we’re fanatical about privacy and speed around here.  In fact, that’s why we built Sendoid as a peer to peer solution in the first place rather than just popping up yet another cloud storage site.  We think this kind of decentralized data movement is the future of file transfer and are growing the capabilities of the technology daily in our development systems.

In addition, we’re actively working on iOS and Android versions of Sendoid.  In fact, if you have a recent android phone, you can probably already run Sendoid in your browser!

Today was the first step, and the Sendoid team can’t wait to continue to bring you the next generation of secure, easy-to-use, large file transfer technology.

This is too much for one blog post and we’ve been working all night to get the kinks out, but I’m going to try and fit the short-notes in here and promise to follow up with more detailed post soon.

1) First, the iSendr team is crazy excited to announce the release of our new site design!

We hope you like it as much as we do! 

2) This isn’t just a paint job: we’ve done some work under the hood as well— specifically we’ve cleaned up some of the transfer code to make things more secure for senders and receivers and also are working to allow larger in-web file transfers.  We’re putting bits in place to make iSendr even more useful— more updates on these ninja edits soon!

3) iSendr Desktop is coming!  We’re working on the best file sharing app on the planet, iSendr Desktop, and we want our users to have an early peek.  iSendr Desktop will feature all the privacy, speed, and convenience of our web transfer client, but add additional features such as persistence, resume, and HUGE file transfer capability.
